Eunjoo Jang was born in South Korea and now lives and works in Australia. She graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Hons. Class 1) from UNSW Art & Design in 2013. Jang completed a Master of Fine Arts (Research) at the same institution in 2016 and was a recipient of an Australian Postgraduate Award (2014-2016). Jang was awarded several art prizes during this period at university and in 2018 she was a finalist in several art prizes including the Paddington Art Prize, the Lethbridge 10000, and the Ravenswood Australian Women’s Art prize. In 2018 Jang also received a highly commended award in the Macquarie Group Emerging Artist Award, with her work being acquired for the Macquarie Group Collection. Jang is a recipient of an Art Incubator Grant and will hold her solo exhibition at Galerie pompom in March/April 2019.
